Just replaced this alternator that was on a customer's 68 Camaro. The unit we took of was originally installed in 2005! 10yrs of service before the pulley failed as the fins separated from the face. The chrome still was shiny and not pitted. And the price had not increased substantially.
I wanted to upgrade to an 80amp alternator but did not want lose the idle rpm charging capabilities. This 10DN internal component alternator in a 10SI frame fit the bill perfectly. This triple chrome alternator looks great in my show car!
