Good Quality But.....
OK, I'm not saying this is bad in any way, just to be clear. But what I want to stress to future buyers is: A: Make sure to use silicone on the ribbing of the end caps when you pop them off of the tube. You should do this before attaching to vehicle so you don't lose one like I did. B: Make sure your exhaust is not aiming at or too close to one of these end caps or it will melt. I am speaking from experience, folks. Other than those to points I have nothing but praise for this item. It is a well constructed and attractive receiver step and the anti rattle mechanism is a sturdy and very useful addition. I added a receiver hitch and one of these to my 2000 CR-V and didn't even think about the muffler location being an issue. So heed my warning - it's definitely an issue. I have 2 extensions coming off of the muffler outlet pipe. A chrome, curved tip, turn down about 45 degrees bend and then a blue/chrome double walled piece added on to that in hope's of melting any more end caps. At $5.99 a piece, I don't want to keep losing or melting these little suckers any more than once or twice. So you will enjoy this step as long as you give it a little TLC.
