More channels than previous booster/amplifier
I have an attic antenna that runs 30 feet to the basement, then splits to 4 different rooms (20 to 40 feet to each tv). I had a different amplifier that ran to a 4-way splitter, and usually got around 35 channels (25-28 channels with no amplifier). When that amplifier seemed to fail after a few years, I decided to give this one a try. I now get 42 channels. Good quality
Good unit for equalizing tv’s on long cable coax runs. If the signal is weak from the antenna and your stations cut on and off this wont help. I bought an rca preamp and that made a huge difference in my reception. I am using both in conjunction but the preamp is far more important. I write this review so that they stop bugging me about writing a review. It's a spliter, with a plug! What else can I say? I'm just now installing it and haven't really noticed a difference in it's use. Still have one more thing to do and that's installing the Channel Master antenna. Gonna mount it on a pole, give it some height and see if I can pick up a few more stations. I used to get them with my old analog antenna. Solid product, well made and designed
Design and build quality is excellent, power supply to unit uses RG6 cable to deliver shielded power to the distribution amplifier, and connections are spaced well enough to allow connector cables to be tightened without having to have tweezer fingers. Would buy one of these over the chinese versions again if it ever fails. Definitely works better than the antenna cable pre-amp and passive 4 way splitter I was using before. Small amplifier at a great price!
Great product if you have a weak cable signal coming in or you are going to have to split the signal. I purchased this amplifier & checked it on my new ultra hd tv with it first not installed & then installed. I could tell a difference in the picture quality. For me, this amplifier was a great help. This amplifier distributes the signal very well and in an equal manner. I have it going to several TVs upstairs and downstairs and regardless of the distance these are to the amplifier they all get the same content. Now, having said this, this is product is for signal amplification from the antenna to the TV. This is not for getting better antenna signal or more channels.
