  • It is a BIIIG option to backup, but not the best as primary disc.

This is a great option described as ARCHIVE. and that is the goal of this great HHD. It is a Huge option to backup files. The Archive on seagate is not very fast or it is not made for run a system with loads and unloads everyday, it is made for copies and backup files that you normally don't work everyday. The lack of speed of this HHD is because they create a new way to archive files into the surface of the internal discs, using layers as a ladder to have more space on the entire unit. they did it, it works and is great. 8TB is too much space for your files, but as me, always have a copy of your files on external o remote discs too. Security first!! The reliablity is not easy to determinate as a normal user , but I think that is a good brand (Not the best) and for what i am gonna use it, will work and will last (I hope ) forever.

  • Fast , Dependable & Good Price...

For the money, This is the Most Reliable,Dependable, and overall Best Hard Drive So Far ! ! !. For the price, it is much more faster & quieter than the 12-TB HDD... It can get quite warm, if it is not ventilated properly..., Not a problem in my Tower...

Unlike so many other things in the world this drive does exactly what it is designed to do...And then some. Seagate seems to understand all their products and their place and purpose in the world. As well they really do push the industry forward. Everyone should preform like this. I can whole heartily say I am madly in love with a hard drive and it's maker and, I may purpose marriage soon... Thank you Seagate... I LOVE YOU!!!! XOXOXOXOX Was that over the top?? Too much? • Does what it's supposed to do.

Its advertised as an "archive" drive so that's what I use it for. To store data, lots of data.
