Good for not getting lost but that's it
Garmin 64s is a decent GPS but if your looking for a new hunting spot in a new area, not so good. I have xmaps loaded on mine but you have to zoom in to within 3 miles for the information to come up. and even closer to get any land features. I also have xmaps app $35 per year on my smart phone its is 100x better for everything except if your way out there. Also the battery life is only a few hours but you can make it last 1day with minimal use. 5 out of 10.

Good but could be better
Product is reasonable to use once I figured out the menu system but the supplied map is only marginally useful. There are better free maps on line so I would try them before I spent 90 dollars on Garmins good maps.

owners manual not as good as the older models ,im sure young people can grab it up and not have any problems ,but us oid fokes are not quite up to speed . the 64s works great fast reception just be patient and go out and get the hang of it. plenty of help from garmin support if you need it!!!!

I love the features of this GPS, and I use it almost daily, but I'm not impressed with the performance of its software. I've had glitches in which the odometer doesn't record accurately (apparently due to "satellite drift"....), and more than one instance in which it failed to boot up. I finally got it to boot by plugging it into my computer and leaving it for a day to slowly work through its problems. The Garmin help desk is, indeed very helpful. Not all representatives are the sharpest knife in the drawer (there can only be one, by definition!), but they all wound up helping me out, and today, it is working fine. It irks me that a brand new device can have so many problems, though. And it irks me that learning how to load any maps except the ones you buy from Garmin is not straightforward. Irked I may be, but I'm happy to have it.

Not for beginners!

Good hunting GPS
No problems out of the box. Loaded up a hunt chip no problem. Easy to setup and use. The only complaint I have and it's just inherent to the software and not related to the performance is the menu layout. I have an InReach and have grown accustomed to that style menu. It's just a relearn process. Otherwise this GPS takes no time to setup to your maps and start plotting coordinates to verify location on paper.

Needs better base map
Don't know if I have to purchase extra maps but the base map isn't as good as my older Garmin. I read in manuel that I can upload programs from computer but why not include everything out the box
