Moving from the iPad to the iPad Pro 12.9 is a great move if you have reason to make the switch. I do apparel design so it’s able to keep up with some of the intensive programs built to run on the platform alongside with the Apple Pencil (which is an accessory that you have to purchase separately) but seeing as the iPad Pro was built specifically to work with apples to pencil device it only makes sense to purchase the added accessory. For the movie buffs this iPad speakers alone make it worth the buy, incredible depth on this little bad boys (not as loud as I’d prefer but that’s my preference) the sound is full and robust with Dolby digital movies. Overall I’m please with what they have done and still manage to not make it weigh in like a brick but there is a downside to this beast and that’s the battery life, because of the massive screen this thing doesn’t have the grey battery life you may be accustom to with other tablets buts it’s not awful. Battery life change drastically depending my on what your doing so it’s not easy to give estimates but on and average my iPad last me 6-8 if I’m doing design and 5-6 hours if I’m watching YouTube, Netflix etc... Overall: if your content with your current tablet stay with it. If you have a need for the larger size screen and the need to have a stylus available then the iPad Pro 12.9 is a good option for you.

  • Battery life is horrid

I shelled out big bucks for the 12.9" screen iPad Pro. I've had an iPad 4 several years now, and I love it. Got this 12.9" and am not impressed. I was surprised at not only how long it takes to charge, but also by the fact that it doesn't hold a charge well. The only thing it's used for is watching videos - amazon prime, netflix, youtube etc. I went on several websites followed instructions on ways to improve the battery life , so far none have been successful. After 8 hours of charging, the highest level has been 80%, never charged more than that , even 4 hours later. I even tried purchasing a rapid charger, that didn't work. The only way to improve the speed of the charge is to plug into the Mac Book Pro, even then, it never reached 100% and consumes power quickly. Glad this product comes with a warrantee , because I am definitely returning it.

  • Definitely worth the extra money!

Being a very artistic person, I was tempted by the Pro to sell my Air 2 (my very first iPad) to save for this device. I am so glad that I did! For all you major art buffs out there, this is the ideal substitute for the Wacom Cintiq--and you don't even need to have a MacBook to take advantage of the AirPlay feature (I myself use Lonely Screen, a free AirPlay programme that allows you to share desktop with your monitor/laptop/Apple TV). The difference between it and the Air 2 (my wife bought the Air 2 from me) is very much noticeable, from the sleek design to the guts itself. Others might say "it's just a bigger iPad," but I view it more like a workstation, and nearly the perfect replacement for a laptop, if you're looking into artwork and design ;) Having given it a lot of thought and time to make my purchase (and tax returns), I am very glad to have bought the Pro, and can only say that I am yet to find any disappointments with it. My only suggestion is, DO yourself a favour and get a matte finish screen protector if you're planning on drawing on the go. The matte finish restricts the sun's reflection and gives the Pro a more robust surface to draw on (and no worries--even when coupled with the Apple Pencil, I've found no issues with screen sensitivity while drawing). With that being said, my only teensie tiny caveat to you is that charging this device takes a CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. iPhone and previous iPad users will note the difference in longer charge times before the unit reaches full charge. There also isn't a Low Power Mode option, although the battery inside definitely lasts long, just like the Air 2's did. Give the Pro a chance, and you'll see the difference a few extra inches can do =) It's not just Apple wanting more money ;)

  • Smeary screen

I like the big iPad a lot. The only issue I have is the visible fingerprints on the screen. It is like looking through smeared dirty glasses, which is irritating. I don't have this problem with my old iPad 3, which would get smeary prints on the screen but they were mostly not noticeable while using the iPad. I think the pro has some extra anti glare coating or something because of the pencil (which I don't use) that makes fingerprints apparent during use.

  • Nice IPad Love the Screen Size

I mainly use this iPad for work to look at documents. Having the larger screen is great. Watching videos is nice especially with the stereo speaker sound.

  • Worth it.

This is basically a new iPad if you have a case on it. Only scratches on the back that are small. Screen is perfect. Certainly more bang for your buck than buying a brand new IPAD Pro. Amazing speaker quality. Just got the apple keyboard case for it and works better than expected.

  • Lightweight with great features

Excellent tablet. It has a beautiful screen. Sound quality is excellent for a tablet. Has very good battery life. I watched a movie on Netflix on it and after it was finished there was still 80% battery life left. I have been so pleased with this tablet and would advise anyone out there who can spare the money, buy one. You will not be disappointed.

  • Exceeded expectations

Buying this used I was a bit unsure of what to expect. The product came quickly and everything worked and looked like it was brand new. This is my first iPad, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it has met all my needs so far.

  • Wow, New iPad Pro without the Apple box for amazing price.

I’ve only had it for 6 hours and can tell I’m going to love this 12.9in massive gorgeous iPad Pro. The screen is stunning, sound quality excellent... I love it. I just got the Apple Pencil, I need a lot more practice. Haha. If you’re in the market for this thing, GET IT. It’s so nice and cool!!!
