Gamers navigate a futuristic world torn apart by disagreements over cybernetic augmentations in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Set two years after the events of Human Revolution, which ended with augmented humans becoming uncontrollably violent and millions of people dying, Mankind Divided is set in a much darker world where augmented humans have been segregated as outcasts. Players once again take on the role of Adam Jensen, an Aug who tries to track down a group of terrorists for Interpol, while also working with a secret group of hackers to uncover an Illuminati conspiracy.<br><br>The story will once again take Jensen around this globe, this time to places like Prague and Dubai, and though the game's locations are contained, they are large and players are generally free to explore as they see fit. Gamers can use a mix of direct combat, stealth, hacking, or dialogue choices when trying to resolve each scenario they encounter, and they can earn experience points to acquire new augmentations or weapons to suit their preferred style. Mankind Divided also includes a new Breach mode, in which players earn points by locating data towers hidden throughout virtual reality test chambers. Points can then be used to purchase card packs that offer a variety of upgrades.<br><br>This Day One edition includes the full game as well as the Covert Agent pack, an extra in-game mission, a digital soundtrack sampler, and digital books.

Great but not as good as the first one.
I truly enjoyed Deus Ex Mankind Divided. A lot of mechanics are placed in, that the first one did not have. One of these mechanics is the new interrogation method were you can tell someone is lying by reading their facial expressions. Makes for an interesting set of dialogue. Although the mechanics are indeed better in this game. I can't help but realize that the story felt linear compared to the first one. I generally had a limited amount of freedom on where I can go, and who I wanted to save. If this is your first Deus Ex game then you will be fine. The beginning of the game also gives you a 30 minute refresher video. To either help you remember the events in the previous game. Or to help you catch up to speed on why your at Czech Republic in the first place.

Good overall but could be longer
I very much enjoy the depth of this game, the slueth work, the stealth, the story of devisio but between augs and naturals, even the conspiracy theories of K, but I can't help feeling like the game should have been longer and have a more satisfying ending. The shooting mechanics were smooth and fun. Ultimately I had a good time playing it and look forward to the next chapter in the series.

It's a good game. I give it a solid B grade.
This is a very good game. And so worth the $20. The game doesn't blow me away. I don't know if I'll actually play the whole game through, but I have no regrets on purchasing it. I find the storyline (while smart and creative) to be a little dry and boring at times. If you've play the previous games in the series, you don't need me to tell you they really did their research in how future (hypothetical) technology could likely be the future, which really cool and deserves a ton of credit. The leveling up system and descriptions are very enjoyable to read. The actual game play is a lot of fun, but it won't feel like it has the most depth after playing it for a couple weeks.
