I installed this hitch this morning on my 2010 Buick LaCrosse. It took 2 hours to do. The instructions told me to use the wrong bracket for my car. I had to use the other of the 2 included brackets, and I had to flip the bracket around to actually be able to connect the center section of the hitch to the bracket that bolts to the cross member of the car. The other problem I encountered was that there is one 1/2 by 13 bolt that is 1.5 inches long, and another that is 2 inches long. I had to run to the hardware store and get another 2 inch bolt to finish the job. I have not yet pulled a trailer with it.

Cars of today really weren't meant to have hitches on them. I think this one could have fit a little closer to the body but will do the job. Did not have to cut anything.
