  • Big Handling Improvement

I have only so far done a test drive since installing the Timbren front & rear. I have a 2006 Newmar Scottsdale, 32’ on a F53 Ford 20.5K chassis. Our motor home already had some suspension upgrades done including steering stabilizer, sway bars front & rear. I had recently added a Super Steer rear track bar, (my chassis was OEM w/ a front axel track bar from Ford). We took one trip after installing the SS track bar & there was a big improvement in the “tail wag dog “ thing when being passed by large trucks but we still has some sway/lean issues and what I can only describe as a “floating “ feel in the front end when we got above 60mph. I discovered while under the coach installing my SS track bar, that the rubber part of in the front, factory installed bump stops was completely gone from age deterioration. I decided then to order Timbrens for the front instead of replacing the OEM bump stops in kind. I decided even before receiving the front Timbrens to order a set for the rear since the rear is so close to being in overload condition anyway. The install was pretty easy even doing it my driveway and me 75 years old. I did have the advantage of an impact wrench. I don’t think I could have done it without the impact. I took measurements pre & post instillation. The front end height was unchanged but the back end came up 1-1/4” As I said in the beginning, I’ve only done a test drive of about 50 miles so far but I’m confident that I’m going to be well pleased with the Timbren’s
