This is a great title however you must buy the 18 CD set!! I have collected Dylan for over 50 years and if I had only 1 Dylan CD the 18 disc would be it. YES it is worth every penny. You see every song come together from his most artistic time period. I cannot imagine having only the 6 CD version. Yes you will be missing the best Dylan experience if you only get the 6 CD version.

I've been a Dylan fan for near 50 years but even I didn't need 18CDs! This 6CD set, from arguably the most inspired and productive period of his long career, contains some truly exceptional outtakes/alternate versions of many of his best known songs. It also provides real insight into his songwriting process. I doubt I'd have been happy after buying and poring over the18CD set, only to find that 99% of the best content is included on these 6CDs! They could have included all the best if they didn't use an entire disc for "Like a Rolling Stone" takes...but then who would have sprung for the 18CD $ET? A great addition to the Bootleg series. If you're patient you can probably find/win this at a good price.
