Limited software...
Great value if you want an unsupported tablet. Microsoft used an ARM based processor so don't expect it to run your old windows based software. To make it worse, Google is a competitor to Microsoft so don't expect it to run Android based software, even with its ARM processor... long story short, its unlikely that anyone will develop new apps for this tablet. exceeded my expectations
I am a bit of a tech guy, just don't need to spend a fortune to be on point. This is as good as out of the box. Mine didn't even have a scratch. Eventually I would like to buy the $2000 version, but if you just want a great tablet and don't plan to run a company off it buy it now. No complaints at all I will recommend this to friends. Just an FYI I hate Apple products not because of quality, just restriction. This actually functions like a computer, but isn't as high quality as an iPad if that is what you are into. 16:9 display so no black bars. I just got it this and watched two full length movies and a couple hours of YouTube and other web goofing around with plenty of battery life left. The films looked great. That's quite a deal for well under $100. Fly with this and leave the more expensive devices at home and you'll be entertained the entire flight. Shipping was prompt. I think I got mine in about a week. As for the B grade body, if you're getting a keyboard case you won't see it anyway. Great tablet. Just know what your buying
Before you buy a surface rt or surface 2 make sure you know what model it is as some people mis title them. You can tell because the original surface rt is all black. And the surface 2 has a silverish back. And the surface 2 has a full hd screen. USB 3.0. Power cover acceptability. And the kickstand is adjustable. There both great but make sure you know what your buying. A lot of people complain about windows rt because you cannot run x86 programs but I love it. I use it for school and free office is a big deal to me. And the battery life is amazing. I get over 20 hours with the power cover while watching movies. And there are so many new apps on the windows store it's getting better. So if you don't have a huge budget and want a tablet for light gaming and browsing this is great. And the camera are pretty good too. So I really recommend this tablet. I love the charger on these too. How then magnet on. You don't have to worry about breaking your charger or the tablet itself so that's a huge plus to me. Very lightweight and powerful
It is amazing how quickly it saw my network. The wifi always works. it is great on how little it is but it has a great display. Less capable than its more-powerful brethren, still a great deal
My wife lost hers after a flight, so this was the perfect replacement. When you buy a used one, make sure you completely reset the machine with a hard-reset. We didn't do that at first, and while there was no problem with the unit itself, some of the new firmware updates that will auto-install when you perform this function will ensure that you can log back into your Microsoft account and pick up your apps and games where you left off. At first, prior to the hard reset, we could not get her account linked back up to her Surface data in the cloud. Perform that step and you'll save the hours that we wasted in trying to get that problem fixed! But I highly recommend this purchase. It is a great tablet/laptop.Verified purchase: Yes
