Exceeds expectations!
Day 1 after getting modem recognized by xfinity/ Comcast in their system . This modem/ router exceeded my expectations of download speeds in 265 to 275 mbps . Should be great from streaming tv and video which is what I want it for so I can cut the cable bill. Only problem was with Comcast tech department e argued about whether or not it was compatible with their system. I won and it was compatible. No Software/Support
II bought this for Comcast internet to save money on the router I rent, and I live in a metropolitan areas. In 2016, products like this are expected to have downloadable software on the manufacturer's website. On the netgear website one cannot download software for the device and cannot download the firmware upgrade (which does exist but you must buy the device from netgear brand new). The Netgenie software, is not available on Netgear's website unless again, you bought it brand new. I obtained the software, and even when directly connected to the router, I could not access the router via net genie. Netgear didnt make the software, another company did, much like the components in their router that require firmware upgrades.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Pros ------ The AC-series of Wifi Cable Modem-Routers are way faster than the N-series. This Modem-Router works as expected and is currently getting me the high speeds prescribed by my network provider. At this price, this product is a bargain when you compare with other AC Modem-Routers in the market. Cons ------- I could not find a power cable or a coaxial cable with the device. The government wants most of my money and Comcast wanted the rest. I bought the Netgear AC1750 C6300 Router Modem to save the $13 a month rental cost. This works much better than the Comcast unit and at that rate will be paid for in 7 months. Excellent modem/router/WiFi. Seems to have excellent WiFi coverage all through the house.
This combo cable modem, Ethernet router, and WiFi unit is being used with our Xfinity service. We bought this instead of doing a monthly rental of a modem from Xfinity. So far this router has done a very good job for us. We have 100 Mbit Xfinity service and measured using speedtest.net we can get all of that 100 Mbits of bandwidth over the WiFi connections. The WiFi is also a good one for coverage, I've gone through the house and the signal is strong everywhere. In previous houses we've had problems and had to have repeaters, but this unit seems to cover the entire house well (though of course the two houses are also different construction ... but I was happy to have good WiFi from this unit all over the new house). I got this to replace the Comcast box they provided (piece of junk) and my own wifi which was having connectivity issues. Quick and easy set up and all done online. No need to even call Comcast. Internet upload/download speeds increased dramatically. I mean DRAMATICALLY! Great wifi coverage in 5G. I have very old, thick walls with probably layers of old lead based paint underneath and 3 stories (should be safe from a nuclear attack). Not any loss of signal. Just a great product. Looks cool as well. Kind of that military/bulletproof industrial look but, it is a tall unit so make sure it fits where you want it. Matches my set-up beautifully.
