My space bar wasn't working on my 3 year old laptop. Then the backspace quit. i had replaced a keyboard on my daughter's laptop in the past,and it was very difficult. I watched a Youtube video for mine & found it to be much easier, so I ordered this replacement. I had my breakfast, a nice cup of coffee, and got my jeweler's screwdrivers out. 15 minutes later I was in business. Everything works as it should, and I don't need a new laptop.

Pros: the installation was very simple to do. Cons: The space bar on this keyboard makes it extremely impractical to type and virtually unusable. You must strike the center of the space bar each time for it to register the keystroke. Other keys seemed intermittent as well. I would not recommend this particular replacement keyboard.

The keyboard is compatible with my laptop and installation is easy. However, seems the keys won't work all the time - I meant, they work sometime and I have to make sure what I typed on the screen each time. My workaround is to find an external keyboard instead.
