Great Microscope at a Great Price.
This is the perfect microscope for upper high school, college, graduate school, and research. This microscope has 4 objective lenses and an extra set of ocular lenses. It also includes a mechanical stage clip holder with a mechanical stage. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars when this tool will be more than enough for your studies. I purchased mine for continuing my research at home. I've been using microscopes for over 50 years and feel I'm a pretty good judge at selecting a great microscope. This is a marvelous microscope. It has maximum standard flexibility regarding the number of objectives, oculars & lighting adjustments. It has a large bright field of vision. Its resolution is very good, considering the affordable price. It's made in China with excellent material that should last a lifetime. It's not heavy at all. I gave it 4 stars only because the plastic, its a little bit cheap, you can see that its from China, and because you can change the focus only in the left eyepiece but its a great product, very professional, high quality eyepieces, not for kids, the stage came covered with a sticky material so the whole bottom area is sticky from some reason, need to clean it somehow. otherwise all good!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

cheap plastic construction
Microscope arrived with its plastic fuse holder broken off from its plastic base board. A very bad smelling oily compound was applied over the stage surface and moving parts, dont know if its safe to inhale, perhaps not. Had to air the microscope outside overnight and then I wiped the surfaces as much as I could with a cleaner solution. Immediately contacted the seller with the pictures of the broken fuse holder. They decided to send me a base instead of the whole microscope, I was asked to change the base and send the defected base back. It was an easy change out, but may not be for everyone. The microscope is ok for the price, the stage translation works fine, and so as the light source. The lenses at higher magnification are rather useless since their depth of field is almost zero, kind of expected from cheap lenses. Dont be fool by 1000X, 2500X magnifications, image quality is at the best sub par.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great quality and heavy duty construction
This microscope has an amazing sharp image in addition to a strong adjustable cool LED light source. It will not desiccate the specimen.. The dimmer, iris and height adjustments make it easy to achieve the best contrast and the mechanical stage has well placed controls and allows smooth wide range movement at higher or lower magnification. The 360 degree turret allows two or more students to alternate viewing the image without the need to move if they are sitting opposite to each other across a 24" bench. The image circle is beach ball sized - no kidding here - It covers a wide field at high magnification. Like others have said: I, too, was surprised with the quality of this microscope! I am a total amateur, so - I am having problems focusing on anything using the 100x objective or higher - but that is my own fault: still learning. The other objectives 10x 40x - is crystal clear! Even without any staining process. (I suggest buying staining kit - that is next on my list!) and some cover slips - so that you don't get your objective lenses populated with unwanted guests! Overall, it is a gorgeous equipment! Thank you for the super affordable for the quality! It comes with a power cord; so - no need for batteries at all. The mechanical stage is just awesome and smooth. The dimer and condenser together worked wonders. I love that you can adjust pretty much everything in this microscope. Light intensity, stop screw for the fine adjustment (so that it does not go down too much and damage anything.) Make sure to download AND read the manual. To download the manual is super easy: Look at the RECEIPT that comes with your microscope. On the left side upper corner, you will see a PASSWORD. Go to Amscope website and enter that password. Voilà! You can save the manual now. Great tips there. Again: Thank you for the super protection packaging too! It came in a styrofoam, super thick case that was inside another thick triple carton box. Delivery was super fast: It arrived a day earlier.
