Great vacuum at a great price!
Works well - no complaints on performance. Battery life does take some getting used to (vs a corded vacuum) but it is as expected based on all the info I read ahead of time. It is quite loud though and occasionally I find that my hand hurts a bit if I'm doing a larger area - not so much that it's unusable or I need to stop but it is noticeable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Nice cordless vacum. good power and battery life.

Great except for the need for an adapter for other Dyson attachments
This is a replacement for our old Dyson hand held vacuum (DC16) that met its end accidentally after over 12 years of use and one generic battery replacement. I couldn't see anything on this refurbished one making it look used. Works great. One of the main reasons I choose to go with a Dyson again was to be able to use the attachments from our old DC16 and our current DC37 vacuum. I was going to purchase a lower model and at the last minute choose this instead. I didn't read up on it enough to realize that you need an adapter to use other attachments from our other/old Dysons. I was able to purchase a generic adapter to remedy this, but honestly I've been using the attachments it came with more often than not. I've ended up using this machine much more often then my DC 37 as it picks better then I though it would off of bare floors and carpet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Lightweight and easy to use
I have only had the V8B cordless for a few weeks so my review is based on that time frame. The moment I got it I knew I had made the right choice. Both my wife and I have server health issue which make cleaning difficult to start with. We had a Dyson stand-up roller ball full sized machine. For me it was getting more difficult to use because of it's weight and the electrical cord. don't get me wrong, it is a great machine but too large after we got rid of the carpets in the house. The V8B is lighter and easier to use. Even my wife agrees and she is hard to please!!!! LOL Our cleaning lady tried it the other day and was totally impressed. It is a wonderful machine. Dyson quality without the Dyson price tag.
We bought this product a few weeks ago. It arrived quickly and looks brand new. Putting it together was easy and came with everything we need. Just note that you will need your own hardware (e.g. screws, dry wall plugs) in order to mount it! The battery lasts plenty of time for our 2 bedroom house. The product is slightly heavy and requires you to hold down the trigger the entire time, which might cause some strain if you have a large house to vacuum. Good product, but low battery life
I like my vacuum cleaner much, however the battery life is poor. Getting about 15 to 20 minutes work and waiting 5 hours for a recharge is not efficient. It is a shame they don’t have an easily interchangeable battery. Maybe they will catch up to some of the opposition some day. Excellent machine, but battery life is poor for long use
Excellent overall. Cleans better than expected. Only beef is that the battery life is too short. The newer models have better batteries apparently. If you only have a small amount of area to do, this vacuum is fine, but more than 20 min with the power head and its dead. Should have bought it sooner!
Why I didn't get one of these sooner is beyond me. The refurbished vacuum is great! My boyfriend actually enjoys vacuuming now so I think that makes this my best purchase ever. It's light and easy to use and picks up everything! (It even leaves those beautiful vacuum lines on the carpet!) It doesn't come with screws for the wall mount and the charging cord is quite short, so make sure to mount it very close to a wall plug but these are minor things. Overall, big, big fan! Dead on Arrival
Did not receive working item. Battery would not charge past one bar. Would not recommend this product. Dyson obviously did not properly test out the product before sending. There was hair in the filter obviously from the previous owner. Now i have to wait for approx a month for a repaired version. Quality control is seriously lacking on Dyson's end. Sadly received a faulty unit.
My vacuum seems to be faulty, I understand why it is refurbished. Sometimes (intermittently) pulling the trigger produces no reaction, the vacuum won't activate. Following up with Dyson support to see about getting a replacement unit.
