A good camera, but takes some study to learn to use all the features
Appears to be a really good camera. Takes a while to learn all the features. I had a Cannon camera before this one but they are a good deal different in some operations. I prefer the electric zoom rather than the manual zoom. The buttons are well placed for making adjustments when shooting. Once the system is learned it appears to make sense. I prefer AA batteries over a rechargeable battery. If AA batteries run down, and then I run down a spare, one can still put in new batteries if there's a store nearby. With the supplied battery one has to have an extra and carry the charger around. The built-in flash takes some getting use to using, and an external flash, which I also bought, takes some study to use correctly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Compact and easy to use
For years I used a "Point and Shoot" Digital Camera. As it got older (well over a decade), the images from it were becoming less and less sharp. Now with the Canon. I get the ability to determine if I need to use a different lens, shutter speed and/or aperture? .... And for that I have not been happier.... Cheaper than local Walmart with more items!
This kit is a different part number than the American branded Rebel but it is exactly the same. You can watch lots of helpful YouTube shows to get better guidance than the skimpy owner’s manual gives. The telephoto lens seems useless, does not make distant objects look any closer but maybe I need to mess with it more. I am disappointed that the camera doesn’t pick up the pink sunset colors, will have to learn to adjust it more. A good intro level DSLR camera.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good camera, but only for beginners
The 326 page downloaded manual has plenty of information about how the camera works. However, none of the reviews mentioned that the hot shoe does NOT have the center conductor. That makes this model incompatible with any other flash units or triggers. If you plan on only using the built-in flash, then you'll be fine. I was hoping to use this camera in a studio environment using other flashes and triggers. All the work-arounds are pricey. Canon 2000d
This particular camera was euro 2000d. Exact same camera as the t7 but with different label. Had to set location to US fort he clock. The tripod that came in the kit was super cheap. I do like the filters and the telephoto lens is ok. But the price was great. Basically the bundle is free with the price of the camera. I love this thing. Still learning DSLR but I’ve gotten great shots.
