The movie had an average script, which was okay, but the 3D effects were nicely done, especially for a 1961 motion picture. I had remembered it as a child, but never saw it. Fifty years later, I bought it on video tape, & liked it. Now after video no longer exists, I bought it again on DVD. Wished there were more 3D effects... but did I enjoyed it!

Anyone who dons an ancient ritual mask suffers bizarre hallucinations. Those hallucinations are presented in 3D. The 3D effects are below average, just a few “pop outs”, rubber snakes, mask spitting flames. The only saving grace of this movie is that it’s less than 90 minutes long. This DVD was produced by Kino, and it is from the best available film stock, definitely not a rip from a VHS or 16mm. But the excellent DVD transfer can’t save this horrid bomb.
