  • Rocks it for Me

Not much of a gamer, but I've ran the 3D benchmark tests and was amazed at the level of detail, physics and particle effects that are capable at frame rates that go over 100 fps constantly. I'm a Mechanical Designer and spend a lot of time modeling large 3D engineering models containing as many as 20,000 parts. It works great in this environment, better than the $5000 Workstation card in my machine at work. I've dabbled in the cryptocurrency world a bit, and have tried this card at X11 mining, and was amazed to see it could exceed 8MH without any tweaking. I used to run several R9-280X cards for mining, and they could only manage about 2MH each in the same situation, and cost about the same at the time. This cards pulls less than half the watts that the 280x card did as well - very efficient. It's fans run very quiet. I can manually turn the fans up enough so I can hear them, but even at max rpm, still pretty quiet. The card is in a sound deadened Fractal Design Define case, so that helps the quiet. Great card, highly recommended.

  • Excellent value graphics card

This EVGA GTX 970 is an excellent value for graphics cards. I have also read that the 970 is the best selling 900 series card now. Mine had noticeable coil whine when I first tested it. Two weeks later and the coil whine is pretty much gone. That's something to note with new 970s, it's basically just a break-in period for it. The graphics quality is awesome. This card easily runs at 1440p with games like Assassin's Creed Syndicate with ultra settings maintaining a minimum of 50 fps. If you're looking for 4k gaming this card isn't the best for that unless you buy two and run it in SLI.

  • Great video card!!!

Today I got this card and installed it upgrading from GTX 670 FTW card. Then I fired up Doom. On 670 I was getting about 50-60 fps on medium settings. With this card I put most settings on ultra. Loaded the level and instantly I was getting 100-135 fps on 1080p resolution. The smoothness of game running has improved in awesome way in all it's HD goodness. This card is still a beast for 1080p gaming and anything over it might just be an overkill. If you have an older card with narrower memory bus this will be a worthy upgrade. At slightly over $100 price tag it's a killer deal.

  • Used this with Mac Pro 3,1

What a great graphics card! Amazing performance. Achieves far over top recommended specs for modern games, you really have to try to get the fans to kick on for this one. Very very quiet.

  • Excellent bang for the buck in 2020.

First off this card was taken well care of. It is really great for me, I don't run any big name titles but for games like Borderlands 2 and Divinity Original Sin 2 it crushes out the frames no problem. I'm really impressed with cooling on this card and how little power it actually uses, it doesn't come close to having any heat issues.

  • Excellent performance for the price.

Excellent performance for the price. Did some research and opted for this card based on its price/performance ratio, especially purchasing this used. Haven't bought a new video card in a while and am more than sticker shocked at what chip shortages and crypto mining has done to the price of video cards so thought this was a better option to go.

  • Great Beginner 1080p card

Now that it’s a little bit older and a lot cheaper, its defiantly worth it for a beginner workstation/gaming computer. It can run most games ultra on 1080p, it can outperform most other cards around it’s time period. The 3.5GB is a little bit of an issue but the card still holds strong to this day and with today’s deals it gives you a great price to performance ratio.

  • Nice stable board but sad that Nvidia may drop support

This is a very nice featured graphics board. Reliable and hope to last a long time. The only problem is the future non-support by Nvidia for Linus.

  • Good Graphics Card

The ad stated that the fan was noisy but when I took the card apart and put new paste, I noticed that the power wire interfered with the operation of the fan. Now it runs quietly and performs well. The delivery took a long time but for some reason spent four days in Customs.
