  • Does what it should & does it well

It's pretty cool. It's small, pretty dang small. Unobtrusive. Clip works pretty nice too. Won't mar up a headstock, it's padded well. Display easy to read. Good features; adjusting the tuning point +/- and flipping display upside down to show the other way with a button push. Battery...not the longest. But you can get the button cell 5-packs or whatever on here cheap. So it's a nice well-made little tuner. Rotates smoothly, battery door slides out easy. The printing will start rubbing off the buttons pretty fast tho, so might want some clear polyurethane on them. The kind in a can you can dab w/ a Q-tip or little brush. Anyway, the only main problem is tuning in a room where everybody is going ape. It will bewilder the tuner so you'll have to go somewhere quieter. Probably this way with a lot of tuners though, it's just the physics of the situation. But I dig these. Used to always just tune by ear...this is a much better way ha.

  • Best tuner on the market!!! Price, quality, ease of use, and accessibility are, hands down, the best investment.

Amazing tuner and a must have for any guitar player! The micro is the perfect size and easily accessible when you need a tuner, and you don't have to carry a bulky tuner around in your pocket. I keep mine on my headstock at all times and it lets me know when I'm exactly in tune. Plus it has a metronome mode so you can learn to stay in beat while you play. I was surprised how low the price is compared to the quality and performance this tuner brings to the table. Just turn it on, check to make sure you're in tune, or quickly change the key your playing in, and jam out faster!!! As I said, it's a must have for any guitarist. I love mine and I'm an intermediate player. So get rid of your old, annoying, hassle of a tuner and get you one I these micro tuners. I have a feeling, you'll love it as much as I do.

  • Best mini tuner/metronome

Most compact yet- easily readable by player but unobtrusive, hidden from audience; can be semi-permanently mounted with thin Velcro as insurance from being knocked off. Readout format/reversibility, pitch/instrument versatility; metronome mode, auto-off are great added features. Comparable in sensitivity to my Korg. I just got it and can find only Pro's so far. Highly recommended. Normanhew

  • Great product for the cost!

Having been a big fan of the Snark tuners for years, it was a big disappointment to find that it had to be removed from my new guitar in order to put it in its case. This little widget has really saved the day! Because of its ultra-small body, somewhat limited positioning ability and ratchet clamp design, there's only a couple of places this tuner can really mount on the headstock of a Gibson es339 style guitar, but it mounts securely and is easily operated and that is a great thing! Those two positions, by the way, are on either side of the headstock, between the nut and closest tuner key and even then the bulk of the truss rod cover almost makes that not work. But the display rotates a full 360 degrees horizontally, so it's easy to position it for easy reading once in place. As much as I am thrilled to be able to keep a tuner on the headstock while the guitar is in its case again, that's not to say this tuner couldn't benefit from some changes, however. 1- the battery is a pain to remove, 2- the display is almost too small and information is cramped and not very crisp, 3- the ratchet clamp, although secure enough for my needs, might not be in some positions and with more active players. Two BIG Love/Hate issues I have with the Micro Tuner and changes I would make, if it were up to me would be: 1- make the display about 1/4" bigger all the way around. It's compact design makes it both great and troublesome. Just a little bit larger and text could be more readable. 2- Including a metronome is GREAT and its display works a lot better for me than the little beating heart of the Snark, but why wasn't the metronome function button made to be a TAP tempo button? The arrow buttons already default as calibration adjustments for the center reference pitch. The metronome button could have just been made to override the pitch calibration function, instead of to choose between functions. A metronome-on/tap tempo button would just be the icing on the cake here (in my opinion). Overall, great tuner - responsive, accurate, compact and appears to be of good build quality. Worth every penny to me.

  • Have many, one on each guitar

These are excellent, low profile and very accurate for a head stock tuner... I do have many guitars and each has one of these. Take it out of the case, I leave them on the guitar, push a button, tune and go... Bought some extra batteries but haven't had any die yet... The buttons on this ebay survey didn't work so I'll do it here.. I highly recommend these... excellent value and it is enjoyable in that its so easy to tune up without hooking anything up, they stay on the guitars... Convenient!

  • Perfect Mandolin Tuner

Mandolin headstocks are much smaller than those for guitar. Even the smallest of previous digital tuners are bulky, and they have to be removed to put the mandolin in the case. This micro-tuner fits compactly on the headstock and I never remove it. The mandolin still fits perfectly in the case. The display is plenty large enough for easy view, and so far it seems to function perfectly. I've got two and may buy more.

  • Woks OK but vibrates audibly.

Whilst this is convenient and easy to use, quick to respond to vibration and seemingly accurate - all that you might want in a tuner - I had to return mine. The control buttons, together with the underlying unit that they're attached to, was loose enough to vibrate audibly when low notes were played. I've only looked at one other tuner of this model and it had the same problem. Maybe these were two rogue samples, or maybe there's a design flaw .... which should be very simple to fix at source. If this fault were fixed, I would be happy to recommend it. Currently, however, that's not the case.

  • Snark Killer

The D'Addario NS Micro clip-on tuner is very precise and compact. It is easy to operate, and the fact that it is able to be adjusted to various frequencies to tune by, and retain the frequency setting after it has been switched off, makes it an ideal tuner for stage and practice applications. The only drawback that I have noticed thus far, is that it sometimes display a flat-line when the low E note is sounded. I am not sure if it is unable to detect the note, or if there is a malfunction in the unit. This can be frustrating when you need to tune quickly in a live setting. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the devise, and may purchase another if, or when this one is no longer usable.

  • Best EVER Guitar Tuner

I am shocked by the accuracy of such small tuner. Easy to use. Has a very tight grip which never leaves your guitar head, no matter how wildly you play. Perfect for quick tuning during a gig. I recommend you keep spare batteries for it in your gig bag, because you will be using it a lot.

  • excellent tuners

I have one of these tuners on each guitar I have. I find this style tuner to be very handy and also almost invisible when on the instrument. the tuners are very accurate and have a very good battery life.
