Awesome Uniden USB-1 alternative programming cable

You don't have to spend 80 bucks to scan. Buy your special lady something nice instead & program your scanner, like a pro, yourself!
Excellent! It's great. Programming my radio frequency scanner has never been easier! And the free driver installation software is a dream come true! Download it first, (scan it for viruses and malware) always scan downloaded files before you open then, then run it, if you get a message telling you windows can't verify it, OK it anyway. It's easy, then plug n play. This cable was a perfect fit for my X15. I am very happy I splurged for it. There are people charging 50/60/70 and more to do this for you. But you need to learn to DIY, if you don't when a new station comes to your area, or an old one changes frequency, you're gonna need to reprogram, and you really don't have to spend 80 bucks a pop.
