Great, but could be better
An excellent vacuum, don't get me wrong. But, just a couple of cons... No where to put the ridiculously long cord while vacuuming. Make a hook somewhere please!! Like 10 attachments (not a bad thing) with no where to put them. I do not like the to push the vacuum while not in use. It feels like it is going to snap (it hasn't though). These are minimal irritations. The vacuum has excellent suction, lightweight, easy to empty, long cord, multiple attachments, and so far none of the annoying wrap around hair on the brush. Unfortunately not impressed.
The famous Dyson name but stopped working properly within a couple of months. The Dyson website and troubleshooting options is one of the most frustrating platforms to use with basically dead links or it just sends you in circles. The reason I bought a Dyson was name familiarity and my belief that it was backed up with a strong warranty. Unfortunately, that warranty has a lot of clauses so to speak and my attempts to get help via the website has been painful at best. Can't beat the price for this vacuum.
I've put a few hours on this vacuum so far and it works like new! Rather then spending the money to have our old one fixed after 5 years of good service... It's a DYSON, what can I say?? After my Dyson DC-15 died, I looked for a lighter weight vacuum. I got a Shark Navigator. It was okay, did a good job, but the cord was short (25'). I returned it & bought a Bissell Pet. Just like the Shark: Good vacuum, but the cord was short (25'). I returned it and broke down and bought another Dyson. I didn't realize how much I missed my Dyson until the new one arrived. (I bought it from Dyson on-line.) Once again, I had a wand long enough to reach my ceiling which allows me to hit the cob webs that I was unable to get with the other 2 previous vacuums. Dyson provides a wide variety of attachments that the others didn't offer. The Dyson allows me to go from carpet to hard wood with the touch of a button vs. having to bend down and manually change a know (Bissell). I thought I had a clean house until I vacuumed w/the Dyson. WOW !!! The suction even has my deceased DC-15 beat hands down. I used to curse the long cord on my Dyson DC-15; however, after unplugging and re-plugging, I love my 35' cord on my new Dyson.
