  • Prrimer pocket cleaner?

Sure this tool is a good value/price, but it works mediocre at best. I have and like many other lee tools & products and they work great. I had lost my other Large primer pocket cleaner & so decided to give this a try after noticing others seemed to really like it, it doesnt even get all the carbon out- precision pocket cleaner. I was let down. an rcbs primer pocket brush works better, I had and have Hornady primer pocket cleaners and they work excellent and leave the pocket with a nice, clean even surface.

  • Disappointed

While I like Lee dies a lot I am disappointed with this Lee primer pocket cleaner as both the small and large ends are to small to do a very good job. You really have to work at it to get a somewhat cleaned out primer pocket. If you put it in a variable speed drill it works somewhat better or at least faster. A masonry bit of the proper size does a better job with less effort but you have to be careful to not open up the primes flash hole to much..

  • Cleaner is almost adequate but could be improved.

The cleaner is good value but the cleaner is small in diamerter and length making it somewhat difficult to hold. For men with larger fingers, a larger cleaner would be really great and I would add having a combination pocket reamer that removes the pocket crimp as part of the cleaner would be the best

  • Must have extra even if you dont need one you do

So I've been cleaning primer pockets on 223 for a little while and never gave this tool second thought, until I started doing 9mm. Then that's I realized the pockets are not as clean as they should be. So order a new one and on the first pocket, wow immediate notice of better cleaning. So after only doing 5-600 223 brass prep, I had to get another one of these. And after the first try with he 9 brass I realized I need another one just to keep handy. It never hurts to have these spare parts handy because you never when they will crap out on you. Like having spare depriming pins. Never know when those will crap out either. Good buy for the money. Ifike to find the one that looks like a screwdriver just for better grip but that may apply too much torque on the primer pocket so I stick with what works and works best.

  • Good enough and low priced

Can't say that I do or don't recommend it. Let's say it's more like, "Sure, fine. If you want one, buy it. I doubt you'll regret the purchase." It is what it is: a simple, inexpensive, one-purpose tool with ends designed to fit two sizes of primer pocket. A twist or two and debris is scraped clear of the pocket. Small and easily lost, it's cheap enough to be easily replaced -- which is what this purchase was all about.

  • Necessary for reloading

Nice tool, cleans both small and large primer pockets. It is a little small and easy to misplace. Have done that and on my second one now. Ordered new one and had it in a couple days.

  • Nice tool

Works ok by hand but better in a electric drill. Hard to get the pockets polished but it does remove corrosion and powder residue.

  • LEE PRIMER POCKET CLEANER

I enjoy this tool. Yes, i know there are motorized versions, but i enjoy the tactile feedback and control it gives me. Also good when doing reloading at the range. Even if you have the motorized version, i recommend you put one in these in your reloading kit.
