Standing the test of time in 2022
Has adequate horsepower for most home computing tasks even in 2022. I have two computers using it. One has MX Linux xfce edition. Perform well with onboard video. Watching YouTube and surfing the net are fine. I have another using Windows 10 and it works fine also. Kind of reaching the end of the line tho if windows adds any more bloat. It had Windows millenium and windows did not allow the free upgrade to 10. Works fine anyway and it uses 8 gb total of ddr2--which also is supposedly obsolete. Only drawback is these used am3 processors get the pins bent easily in shipping because sellers use bubble-wrap. They are a major pain to straighten the pins with my old eyesight. A great upgrade for my Dell Optiplex 580

An easy upgrade
We bought this to upgrade an older 2 core HP Desktop. It was a simple task to remove the fan duct, heat sink and old cpu. Not a bad price, but needed fixing.
I fixed about 5-7 bent pins on this CPU. The box was in immaculate condition and cpu was wrapped well. Whoever packed it wrapped the tape too tight around the plastic tray for the cpu causing the pins to bend. Hope it works.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
