    Manhasset Model #48

    A great value and very functional. The adjustment to eye level (I'm 6 ft) is a good benefit when required to stand. I recommend this stand as it is sturdy and a great price.

    Exactly as expected; good stand at a reasonable price.

    This is a nice sturdy and good looking stand that gets the job done. Yes you will need your own ratchet and socket to tighten one bolt only. It’s a common enough tool most people have on hand and was no surprise to me. The stand does not fold but fits easily for transport in my Mini Cooper. It’s not magical; it’s exactly a described; a good stand at a reasonable price.

    Quality materials, excellent construction, perfect condition, meets my needs.

    This is exactly what I needed for my large alter bible. The stand is sturdy enough to handle the weight ans size. It is adjustable so when I am sitting at my desk I can adjust it as needed. It is freestanding so I can move it as needed and I don't need a table as some other bible stands do. Quality of workmanship is excellent. I am unable to find any dings, dents or scrapes - it looks brand new and works perfectly. I could not be more pleased.

    Well-built, Made in America, Quality stand

    This is a very sturdy stand, capable of holding all necessary music and a variety of lighting options. It is built to last. I would have preferred it the height could be adjusted a few inches, but it isn't so much a problem as it is taking time to adjust to this stand. It costs a good bit more than competitors, but is a superior product compared to the others I've used.

    The new Manhassett orchestral music stands are all as good as their oldies from the 60's.

    New Manhassett orchestral music stand is as good as the old heavy duty stands of the 1960's )I own 2 old ones-and theyre still in excellent shape). I was happily surprised: The new stand base is still heavy/stable, and the riser-to-base tube fitting design was improved; interestingly the new stand seems about .05-1.0 lbs. lighter. IMHO, Manhasset has a long long well deserved excellent reputation; you will find their stands on every large orchestra's performance hall stage

    Great music stand for home practice and performance!

    The stand can positioned low enough for comfortable viewing while seated, and high enough to be seen well when standing up. The material is also solid (no wobbling when touched). This is my go-to stand for most of my music endeavors.

    ...looks the same, but is not the same

    i have an older Manhasset classic stand. When compared to the newer one obtained through eBay, the older unit is made of a higher quality sheet metal (or at least a slightly denser metal). As a result the newer unit is lighter in weight. All other aspects seem identical.

    Manhasset M48 stand - It does its job.

    Being an old coot, I've been using Manhasset stands for nearly half a century. They work! When a grown child asks to borrow a stand, it is far easier to give her/him one. It'll never come back! Now they come with a lock washer included, so I doubt the old "Manhasset Wobble" will be a part of owning an M48. Enjoy!

    Steady and sturdy.

    Sold as a scratch and dent. The packaging was a little beat up, but the stand inside was in perfect shape. If you used these stands in school, you'll remember how durable they are. I notice that the tray is a little lighter than the ones I remember, but seems to be just as sturdy.
