Like all Kato Unitrack the WX310 crossover point is very well designed, durable and easy to lay time and time again without damage. KATO have a good second hand value too because of this (not that I'll be selling mine anytime soon). The WX310 is effectively four points (turnouts) in one with isolation across the middle separating left to right so power will probably need to be applied at each side depending on your layout. The unit should ideally be switched electrically using the built in motor because there are only two logical positions but manual operation is also possible.

I dislike that this item derails every train I have. Worse there is a dead zone caused by the center insulated track! Bad design. Doubles cost of layout power. But it looks amazing! Despite how largely useless this part is- I still have to recommend it because it is a fantastic looking device! It really looks amazing on my layout and worth it on looks alone! Basically this part is a status symbol. If you have the money I recommend this part. If not - better the single crossover. But overall I am happy. I love playing with the switches!
