For when you want to step up to a more advanced capture card
Requires more manual tuning than an Elgato, but far, far, FAR more versatile. Reportedly this model of capture box uses the same internal hardware as an Elgato HD 60S, but unlike that unit, the driver and program are far more utilitarian and focused for the job at hand. So I guess it needs a bit more fiddling than an Elgato; but Elgato has become almost insufferable with how much their software and drivers have degraded. The fact that it has so many supported inputs is a huge plus, as was this listing that also made sure to include those analog breakout cables, which are really hard to find by themselves. With this, I can basically capture from everything I have, including my Dreamcast's VGA mode, and even the vga or dvi out from another PC, which opens up how many things I can then capture from. Love this product, but it is a bit quirky on the drivers. Hardware is awesome, and it works perfectly. Make sure you download the extra video software so you can configure it in the settings of that program. This does set itself up as a camera system, so you can use it in any program like open broadcaster studio (OBS), or VMIX ( my personal preference). I love this device because you can capture line level (RCA) audio and many different kinds of video. The coolest thing is that you can capture HDMI from a HI-DEF camera, and you can use the line level inputs for the audio capture. This makes a perfect solution for doing streaming at a church. As a tech guy, I would highly recommend this. Please be cautious though, it only works on Windows!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
