ve always been a pencil snob- oh!, that is so bad of me, but it ts a true statement. But, recently, I seen a video on YouTube of a graphite artist who was comparing different pencils he used for sketching. He compared mechanical/drafting pencils, expensive and inexpensive artist grade pencils, and pencils that he owned and regularly used for his art work. He was quite satisfied with the results. His Dixon Ticonderoga pencils that he used most often won out! I was quite satisfied with his results as well!!

DT #2 pencils are perfect for any writing assignment. I prefer them over a mechanical pencil. The lead in a #2 pencil is sturdier and seems to last longer. It is also darker than lead from a mechanical pencil. I use these pencil's for note taking in class and can actually make copies. When I tried the same thing while using a mechanical pencil, almost nothing appeared on the copied page. I buy as many Dixon Ticonderoga pencil's as I can find whether on sale or not, they simply will never go out of style.

No.2 lead writes darker and easier to read which I like especially for my check book log.
