The build quality on this is insanely good and it's slim profile makes up makes up for it's occasional awkwardness.
Don't expect to be sharpening this like you sharpen your kitchen knives.
D2 is harder than my kitchen knife sharpener and it destroyed the blade and the sharpener when I tried sharpening it at home.
The tanto and serrated edge are useful but they make it hard to sharpen.
The opening and locking mechanism is flawless and this knife can handle a beating.
As it sits now it's mostly a fidget toy and occasionally being used as a paperweight.
If you know how to sharpen a knife with a whetstone and leather then go for it. This knife will be more than worth it. But for most people who don't have these things it's going to be hard to keep this thing sharp.
This is a good EDC knife it fits nicely into any pocket. It's compact and lightweight and easy to use. Most of the time I was carrying the Milwaukee Fastback around even after work. The Hardliner has such a lower profile, it's comfortable in my professional work pants or jeans pocket. The grip and finish are real nice as well as the Tanto Blade. If this is the knife you want you really can't go wrong, grab one up already!!!
