Original lasted 2.5 weeks, and the warranty replacement lasted 2 weeks!
The unit works well while it's working; but the first one, made in Jan 2015, failed after only two and a half weeks. It went down suddenly with no warning when carrying an uneventful load of about 150W with 13.65V at the inverter's own terminals, and both lights started flashing very fast and dimly. I called Xantrex and they said to do a "hard reset" by disconnecting the input and output and turning it on and leaving it for a half hour. I did that, then reconnected, and got the same thing, so they sent me a warranty replacement, made in Apr 2015. That one only lasted two weeks and then did the same thing! In both cases I transferred the load to a smaller modified sine wave back-up inverter which handled the load just fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Using this to power a 1800 kg 110ac gate opener. It draws 10 amps on start up and 4 amps during gate movement. The inverter has no problem operating it at all, very pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
