Great value spydy that's a workhorse!
Beautiful, but make sure you know that it's completely black. The blade is not the dark grey, it's striking black. While 8Cr13MoV is frowned upon a lot in todays knife market of super-steels, it's all in the heat treatment.... Spyderco's 8cr13mov takes a beating, holds a decent edge and is relatively easy to hone back to shaving sharp. It's a working steel, not like some of the powder steels which gets, "you just had a major operation" if you handle it wrong sharp.. Just, "ugh, I'm gonna need to superglue that up sharp" lol. This knife will perform well for a long time. If something tragic was to happen, it probably won't break the bank to replace it.... Oh, and a lot less crying... there I said it. All in all, most people looking at knives have heard of Spyderco. If you haven't this entry level knife is better than most much more expensive options out there. The weight and build quality are good enough to get you exposed to the brand. It holds true to form. Excellent price for this knife, and I am a fan of the G-10 scales.

Super light and super steel
Razor sharp as you would expect from spyderco. Big knife but feels very light in the pocket. Ergonomic handle shape is a pleasure to hold. Knocked my Griptilian out of my pocket.

Great folding knife!
The famous budget spyderco folding knife looks even better in total black. It has a good, solid built and a very good finish (especially the blade!). Steel is 8Cr13Mov which is OK. Comes really sharp out of the box.

Best bang for the buck?
I own the Spyderci Para Military 2. Great knife. After ordering and using the Spyderco tenacious Im finding it a bit challenging to justify the cost difference between the two. I think this knife is a great bang for the buck relative to the Para M2

Good value for the cost, and very sharp. One handed opening continues to be difficult as the blade is held too tightly by the bushing. I was hoping that by now (over 6 months old I believe) it would have worn sufficiently to loosen up, but it is still too tight.

Very good knife for this price
I like the knife after using it for more than a month. The only issue is the axial screw starts unscrewing after a couple of days so I forced to screw it in on a constant basis. Even threadlock liquid does not help.
