Great embroidery designs, supplemental material is so-so
Anita Goodesign embroidery software (I use PES) is flawless in its precision and coverage. Appliques are outlined in the hoop so that technique couldn't be easier. I am quite impressed with the execution of every project that I've done. Some of the supplemental materials are helpful (color conversion chart, resizing instructions if you have the program on your computer to do it) and others are just marketing material. The thing I find a bit frustrating (as a newcomer to machine embroidery—less than 6 months) is that the PDF tutorial is not that explicit. You get a full-color picture and thread color chart for each design, but not much about a "do this, then expect that, then do this" kind of "idiot proof" set of instructions.
