"The Wonder Years" is the best TV Series ever done about growing up that can be applied to any era. It is set during the Vietmen War with many songs that were the emotional soundtrack of those years. I lived as a late teen through that time period, watched the series when it was first on, and love seeing all the nostalgic angst of growing up back then even now. The cast is absolutely spot on and give consistent wonderful performances. So glad i recently bought this Full Series DVD Set.

The value of a television show truly is in the eye of the beholder, so not everyone is going to like it. In the case of The Wonder Years, I believe that anyone who grew up in the mid to late 1960s would find value in this show. The scripts are excellent and the acting is top notch. I'm delighted I bought this DVD series and highly recommend it to anyone in that age group in particular. This is not to suggest that other age groups wouldn't appreciate it, as perhaps they would simply because of the quality of the product. My wife and I are really enjoying it.

A really good show, from back when networks made good stuff. Now we can relive these memories. I find Kevin to be highly relatable in most episodes. A boy concerned with boy stuff, especially dating. Through out the saga, he constantly is infatuated with Winny. The special features that it is packed with explain why they had them break up at one point, and other things. The production quality may not be too good. I bought a brand new set and had some issues. Some episodes froze up. 1 cover art bleeded into the plastic, and I had to replace that case.

Good collection, except my copy of Season 5, Disc 1 isn't great. Infact, it is not playable & if I can't restore it, then it will have to be replaced. The only problem disc I have in this collection. The other discs are okay.

I loved this series when it came out many years ago. Kevin is a little younger than I was during the years the show takes place in but the events and stories are so real there are times it moves me to tears. My wife whom is quite a bit younger loves the show and I can't believe it but my grandchildren ask us to put them on to watch also. The memories are great, the music puts it over the top. Being a Baby Boomer who grew up in Berkeley in the 1960's, this show is about my life. Every episode reminds me of similar events I went through. The acting, scripts, production values, and music are in a class by themselves for modern TV and as good and better than those for modern movies. Even if you are younger, you can appreciate the stories about struggling to grow up and understand life and love. I don't know if the producers, actors, and network knew they were making drama history, but I think they were. There are some episodes I cannot watch without crying all over again. I am a 67 year old, six foot five male who does not cry easily. But this show so realistically captures painful young love and dealing with life in that simpler era in America, that it is like reliving my youth all over again. You won't be sorry having the whole series.Read full review

I grew up about 10 years after this show but many of the family issues, joys and topics and situations were similar to mine and the trip down memory lane was both hard to watch and very emotionally relatable. Sad, happy, anxious, expectant, suspenseful and relaxing is how that part of my life was from 5-18 years old and this show captures it all so delicately. And while today most people might complain that it's not in high definition, my life was not in high definition then either so the look of the show reminds me of what my eyes saw too which made for a nostalgic experience for each episode. Not to mention the music in the show was some of the best music from the 60s, 70s and 80s, which is some of the most relatable music in the last century across many generations in my opinion. Plus The Wonder Years was also a laughable show, funny being corny at times but serious in its intention to bring a story of a relatable family to the screen.Read full review

This show is about the ups and downs of Kevin Arnold growing up in the 1969s and 1970s. The characters are well-developed and it is a show the whole family can enjoy together!
