This cocotte is well made, will last forever with proper care, is beautiful, can be left out for all to admire it's good looks, and is a perfect size for so many different dishes. The interior is enameled but with a rougher surface so you can still season it as you would an unenameled cast iron pot, and get that wonderful non stick surface so loved by cast iron owners. It is a heavy pot (especially the lid) so if weight concerns you, you might want to pass but I hope you don't. Staub is the best when it comes to beautiful designs for their cookware.
