TIght punchy sound without the springiness of rotosounds.
Have used rotosounds for more than 40 years and finally switched to Fenders. Different? Yes. Better? Yes, at least to my ears. Why did I switch? I got tired of the overtones that rotos produced, especially on acoustic basses. I tried these as a friend suggested and I am glad I did. Easy on the fingers with good even sound and punch without that excessively bright zing that put me off from many other brands. I've only had them for about 3 weeks and so far I like them and stay in tune pretty well. I play rock and blues, mainly with a pick and don't slap.
