Good quality but easy to cut the sheath
The knife is very close to perfect, the only thing is is that it’s hard to strike a ferro rod. The sheath is good quality, but it’s easy to cut by accident. Fits the needs
I actually bought this as a Christmas gift for my 14 year old son, he is an outdoorsman and a edged weapon collector. This will be one of his favorites I am sure. I found a kabar in an old barn, it had been buried for many years. I cleaned it up, put a new leather handle on it and put an edge on it also. May have a dog's head, but it ain't a dog.
It's a KaBar, not much else needs to be said. I do like the dog's head logo on the blade and sheath. I prefer the guard on this model to the standard issue. I haven't made up my mind about the pommel, tho I do like that it has a hole for a lanyard.
