The track adds to the flex track that I have. I find flex track can be more useful than sectioned track. There isn't as many joiners to worry about, and if you solder to the track (carefully) you have fewer and better connections for power to the locomotives, and it looks more realistic, than a bunch of curved and straight sections connected together. It's also easier to tweak the track into position.
