UltraLife Blue-Green Sime Remover
I have a planted aquarium that had a blue-green algae outbreak. The algae was covering some of my delicate foreground plants and some of the leaves were starting to die off. Hydrogen peroxide treatment and frequent water changes helped short term, but didn't knock the algae out for good. After one application of the UltraLife product, I noticed a big change. The algae started to die off, and plants started to look better. I use an EcoComplete substrate, so the algae was a problem with that, bedding itself between the substrate and the glass, in hard to get areas. After a water change, I applied the product for a second time, and started to see die off of the algae under the substrate, next to the glass. The product works great. I would highly recommend it. However, I would start by cleaning your tank as best you can first, including your filter and all it's tubing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have a 55 gal freshwater planted aquarium which was coverred badly with cyanobacteria. It smelled bad too because of that blue green algae. I must mention that I got blue green problem due to neglecting water changes and over feeding fish for about 2 months. This product worked well for me and i got rid of the bad blue green algae smell too after about a week. My plants have started growing again as all their roots and leaves were covered with algae. Costs a bit but WORTH IT so far!
I'm new to aquariums, and suddenly one betta tank was getting odd algae that turned out to be that blue-green slime of torture. A nice lady at a fish store recommended this product, but I thought it was way too expensive. After trying to fix the situation myself, I ended up ordering some and had to figure out a safe dosage for a small tank. I must have hit it right, because the algae DID go away. This stuff is magic!
I was desperate to get rid of a bluegreen algae infestation. I tried water changes, removing it by hand, increased circulation with a Koralia, spot treated with hydrogen peroxide, and blacked out my aquarium for 3 days. Nothing worked, so I tried Blue Green Slime Remover. I followed the directions and did an application on day 1 and then another application day 2... and waited. By the 4th day it was slowly disappearing. It was completely gone by day 7. Product that works.
First you must realize that this cyanobacteria is a very serious problem. It does not go away on its own and it could come back after treatment. There are ways to prevent this but not for this review. With this product your tank will become cloudy. After 48 hours your tank will smell. Then your tank will go back to normal. Works on Stubborn Blue Green Algae
I have had a very stubborn blue green algae issues for months. No matter what I've tried nothing has worked until I used this product.
