Is this a professional piccolo? No. Is it a really really great intermediate instrument? Yes! It’s stable intonation and ease of playing makes it a great choice for anyone looking for a piccolo to play occasionally. Also— for those who want a more wooden sound, I have improved this instrument hugely by purchasing a specific high-end piccolo headjoint and now it sounds like a $5k instrument. Not kidding!

Excellent instrument my wife used it to play in her high school marching band at her 51st reunion! Works great

The Yamaha piccolos are excellent. The YPC-32 is a good sounding VERY durable piccolo that will hold up in outdoor and indoor venues. This piccolo also has great resale value. I highly recommend the Yamaha YPC 32 and its wooden counterpart YPC-61 / YPC 62 for almost all musicians wanting a high quality great sounding instrument
