  • Good, but a little different operation than traditional QD sling swivels.

These sling swivels are of excellent quality as all Magpul products are; however, I'm not particularly fond of the way you must manipulate the release the QD mechanism by pushing downward. Perhaps with repetition, it'd be easier for me, but if in an emergency situation when gross muscle memory takes control, I think the traditional push button type of QD would be best for me since it doesn't require the additional fine motor skill to release the QDM version. Also, I believe if you have some injury to your finger(s), the difficulty would be compounded. Granted I'm a younger silverback, but gross muscle memory is about all I have left so I have to keep things simple!! Overall, it's a great product, but just doesn't work for me. My only recommendation would be to try the QDM version before you buy to see if it suits you. Stay safe out there!

  • Well made but overpriced.

These sling swivels have some specific features which others lack which is why I purchased them. Are they worth it? I'll leave that up to you. The shape which Magpul claims is to reduce rollover of the strap does work but the width does bind on my stock, and the side release buttons which I was drawn to, to prevent accidental release can actually be awkward or difficult to use. Forget it if you are wearing gloves. They also feel a little sloppy when inserted into the quick release holes, still secure but at this price point I expect better tolerances. Overall they are well made and work as intended but should probably be half the price. The product is 4 stars. The current going price is 2 stars.

  • Light, strong, and functional!

I love running the QDM on the support hand side and then a regular push button style QD at the endplate. The QDM can be a bit difficult to release at the endplate just an FYI. These QDMs are light and super easy to use since you either can grip (pinch) on the sides and push to insert or grip on the sides and pull to release. Both sides need pressure to move. I feel it is a more natural movement/function.

  • The product is great. I do feel that a c...

The product is great. I do feel that a center detached button is a little more convenient for removing these attachment points, but it might be a good thing to have it not as easy foreign accidental disengagement since you have to push both buttons and not just one the quality is good it’s sitting on my personal protection device With straps engaged. I will run these for a while.

  • Magpul quality

I use this on my Remington 870 Police shotgun. On the Magpul stock which requires an extra part to install. Two parts if you wish to mount to either side of the stock. The swivel will rotate 360 on the stock. It can also be installed on the Magpul 870 fore end. There it locks into one of 4 positions and does not rotate. That works well and is well thought out. High quality and useful. My only complaint is the cost of each part which must be added. They could give you the stock and make money off the many add-ons. If you got the cash, this is the best. I guess I had enough money. Looks great.

  • Great Quality Comes With A Price

Thought they are costly this is the second set of these sling mounts I have bought. They are made very well and it takes a little effort to get them to disconnect. I couldn’t allow myself to trust the cheaper mounts to secure my slings. Much easier to disconnect than standard swivel stud mounts and more secure.

  • Great Design

Fits standard size slings. Best part about this QD swivel is that you have to press into the switch in order to disconnect, but you also have to pull out to remove QD from rifle. That means it will be difficult for it to just "pop" out. If you want your sling to stay attached, buy this item.

  • If you're looking for high quality, here it is!

As far as QD sling swivels go, this is probably one of the most expensive you can buy, however the price is well worth the quality that Magpul put into it. This QD swivel is unique in the way it works. Instead of the usual push-button you see on most sling swivels, this swivel uses two pull tabs that make removing the swivel from the sling point a more natural motion.

  • Get what you pay for

These Magpul MAG543 quick disconnect sling swivels are made far superior to the other wannabes out there and once you have them in your hands you can see why. The fit and finish is great and the spring loaded quick disconnect keeps them and your sling secured to your rifle.

  • pricy but worth it

The connect and release system is a nice design for sure. Is it worth the extra $, to some yes to others no. I outfitted one of my slings with them and really like it. If you already have some good quality ones I wouldn’t go and change them however if you needed to get some and don’t mind spending almost double the price they’re definitely worth a try.
