smaller than I though
Bought this for my workshop in the winter. It's only 12x12 but has very tall ceilings so I needed something that could heat the space adequately. The unit is a lot smaller than I thought so that was a plus as it doesn't take up much room. You will need a 220V outlet which I had. It doesn't heat the room super quick. I usually turn it on 30 minutes before I'm going to work out there and it's good enough. Can't expect much more from a unit so small. Good Heater for the money.
I originally bought this to heat my wife's greenhouse replacing two milk house heaters. This heater warmed her 10x14 greenhouse so well and evenly that we don't need a second heater anymore and she had new growth on plants in the middle of last winter with snow on the ground. THE PLUG DID NOT FIT :-( :-( :-(
THE PLUG ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT FIT INTO A STANDARD USA ELECTRICAL BOX ! ! ! ! We really wanted the heater to be ready for the arrival of cold weather, and it was a huge shock to have to deal with re-fitting / re-placing the plug before we could get the heater and our Greenhouse ready. We had to competely replace the plug ! Once the plug had been replaced, it fit perfectly into our Electrician installed electrical box. The heater works really well, and we're very pleased with it. A lot better than milkbox heaters. Got it late in the season ,Early Feb. I have an uninsulated 10x12 greenhouse and when it got down to 18 it kept it at set 50 degrees.. Good heater, compact and puts out good amount of heat.
Great little heater, plugs into our 20 amp outlet for window ac. Puts out way more heat than our 110 volt infrared heaters, hope its easier on the electric bill??.
