GREAT LEATHER PRODUCT
I used this product on an old pair of leather winter boots (15 yrs old) - original leather was faded and dried out - after applying as directed, the leather was definitely refreshed and became a lot softer as well as restoring color of leather almost to original - was very impressed by that - have used other brands but this definitely has proven superior - love the fact besides restoring leather that it also helps waterproof against snow, rain and chemicals - So far as APPLYING, just using finger to generate heat to soften wasn't enough, works but by eye, oil does not saturate into leather as best as could - I found that using the heat from a hair blow drier over the top of product just enough to see visually a change in oil to where it looks a little shinny and then finger to apply works the best, but that's just me - Would recommend and is great for leather.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I've used it on all my leather jackets and I think it is fantastic. It makes it look almost new. I rub it on with my hand and it worked perfectly. Love it and would recommend it. I read a comment about sticky residue. As far as I am concerned that is not true. Maybe that person should have put a minimal amount on their hand and rubbed it on one area at a time. Obenauf's is a great product for leather preservation. it goes on easily but not oily at all. it keeps the leather supple without making it "wet" or oily. Keeps leather looking great, repels moisture, prevents cracking. Dark and sticky
Do not use this product on Buffalo leather boots.it turned my $400 boots a very dark deep brown... Now they look like regular cow hide and are so dark I can't stand them. I put this on them over a month ago and they stayed a deep dark brown color.. also they have a film that feels sticky or something... I really liked the look of Buffalo until I put this on... Now they look horrible. I think the product is probably good for regular leather so I gave it 2 stars but Do NOT use this on Buffalo!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

What stopped it from getting a 5 star rating is the water proofing. It struggles not to be affected with wet snow.....I have only used this product on gloves. 7 pairs to be exact. (I have never tried snow seal) I love the way this stuff goes on. It does leave a slight tacky feeling....wonderful for gloves though. And to me it smells darn good. Great leather conditioner.

Best conditioner I’ve used
I’ve tried many, many leather conditioners for use on my vintage leather jackets. This is by far the easiest to apply and it leaves a very nice sheen without feeling greasy or waxy. Leather really soaks this up nicely. Immediately softens old leather, and continues to soften as leather is used for its purpose. I will continue to purchase this as my only “go to” conditioner. Obenauf's is my new favorite shoe/boot leather restorer and winterizer/waterproofer. Better than your run of the milll mink oil and neats foot.
