Recommended because It is the Only Alternative to Replacing the Dryer!
This definitely is a good value considering the regular prices of the items separately. However depending on the amount of use each day and some other factors, you can expect to change all these parts again in 2 to 5 yrs. For these reasons I do recommend it but I would inspect the Lint Filter housing for cracks and listen to the Drive Motor at start up for an initial "deep growl" as an indication of bad Motor Bearings before investing money in any parts. If the Lint Filter does have small cracks sometimes they may be remedied by smearing a little silicon rubber into them. Wipe off the excess and let dry 24 hrs. If you have large cracks or missing pieces clothes can get caught on them and torn. So replacement is the only option at that point. Good quality? Likely at least as good as the original part, but I would not expect more wear than the original.

It worked, clunking, thumping sound is gone.
Looks like a GE design flaw that these parts need to be replaced every few years, but this kit worked. Probably only needed the plastic glides replaced, but those alone are close in price to this kit, so I changed out all the parts, just in case. Took less than an hour.

GE Dryer repair
This kit has everything you need in it to replace the most common things that wear out on your dryer. You do not have to be very mechanically inclined to install these parts because it is just a matter of swapping parts with what is already there. Makes your dryer run like new again and prevents you from chunking down money for a new one when for a fraction of the cost of a new one your old can give you many more years of service.

Kit is complete and has good instructions
This kit contains everything you need to rebuild the front end drum bearings, includes the upper housing that gets worn down once the front bearings are worn off, and includes a new felt seal. It includes a new drive belt, and includes the drive belt installation procedure as well. It does NOT include the rear drum bearing but its seldom needed (and difficult to replace) or the procedure on how to open up the dryer, but there a plenty of youtube videos that tell how to do this. Installation will take about 1/2 hour plus the time needed to clean out the accumulated lint in the system (this can be considerable).

Worth every penny
I purchased this kit to eliminate the squeaking sound coming from my dryer. I had originally lubricated the bearings and the idle puller, but it wasn't enough. This kit was perfect. The kit came with instructions. The pictures were a little unclear, but reading the directions I was able to fix my dryer in less than 30 minutes. Once put back together, no more squeaks.

Cheaper than a New Dryer
Seven year old GE dryer started squealing like a stuck pig. Wife says time for a new one. Did a little research and tracked the problem to a tired Top Bearing and Drum Slides. Great price for a genuine GE part and free shipping. Said it would take five business days to ship - arrived in two. The belt took a little bit of effort to get on correctly but otherwise an easy fix and well within the capabilities of an average weekend handyman with simple hand tools. Dryer should be good to go for another seven years.

Perfect fit
I was able to get this product quickly and installed all of the pieces in less than 20 minutes. It might have helped that I just had it all apart for the rear bearing a week or two before, so my familiarity was already there. I recommend searching the replacement on YouTube. Once installed, the products function like new. Squeaky dryer is now silent.

My dryer was getting this loud shaking rhythm to it where it would be fine for a few minutes & then shake so bad you can feel it in the walls of the house, & then back quiet for another 5-10 minutes. I opened it up & found these parts were bad. This kit was good quality & went together easily. Now it’s operating quietly. Only 4 screws need to be removed to do the whole job. Couldn’t be happier.

What else is there to say? This little kit makes a lot of your problems go away, and makes a dryer that just has some hours on it like new again. While you're doing the job, tear it all apart and get all the lint out (there will be a bunch hiding in it) but once you do, clothes will be drying great again.
