Received everything as posted on ad. Instructions simple and installation was simple. Extra wire sets and parts for various installations a plus. Item worked right away and so far has worked as required. Just as good compared to more expensive OEM product.

I gave this about 4 months before I reviewed it to make sure it works. I am very happy with it.It make ice pretty quickly. It is not an exact match for my old ice maker as the mechanism that tells it to stop making ice when the basket is full is different. As others have complained about, the ice would over flow and spill out into the freezer. So I modified it a little bit by taping a piece of cardboard to the flapper and now it works great. It stops making ice when the bucket is close to full. I will now make it more permanent by gluing a piece of plastic to it so it looks better. This ice maker was about 1/3 of the price of the GE replacement ice maker so again it works for me. I started with the cardboard going deeper into the bucket and it would stop making ice before the bucket was full. So I then trimmed the cardboard until I got it just right. Read full review

Unit was easy to install and works fine. Only drawback from OEM is instead of an on/off switch, you need to manually lift the arm to stop ice production. Not really a big deal because how often would I really want to turn it off.

I bought several generic ice makers for my refrigerator model that didn't really work or fit properly and ice would not eject.. however this one fit perfectly and has ran flawlessly for 2 weeks

Too slow making ice. I lowered the temperature to my freezer by 3 degrees and this had no affect on the production of ice. It did cost 50 dollars and the quality of the unit is good and it works well. It just doesn;t have the capability to produce the ice of the GE ice maker it replaced.
