Best choice but not perfect
I have a couple of different "wall lock" type gun holders, and like this one best, but still not perfect. What's good is that there are 3 methods for opening the lock - RFID, Keypad, and Key. The RFID is not super quick or consistent in operation, so we have settled on using the keypad. Also, the RFID decal will not function if mounted on the back of a cellphone or cellphone case (at least not on our iPhones). This is a known problem. The two springs which open the cover are strong and when it flips open you need to get your hand out of the way quickly or hold it with one hand while activating the lock. I ended up removing one spring and it still springs open quickly just not as violently. I think if you had a valuable firearm you could mount this inside your gun locker or "safe" for a second layer of theft deterrence.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I like the idea
I have it mounted but it has a weak frame. If it was reinforced at the mounting holes it would be of better quality. If it’s not mounted on a very flat surface it twists a bit there by not allowing the lock mechanisms to line up. Therefore it will not lock. Overall I like it but with out the mounting hole being reinforced it can easily be pried off the wall and it is loose enough to be fired inside the lock. I have it mounted and will have too see. The overall it’s fine but needs to be hidden when mounted. I will not return it but will look and wait for a stronger one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
