Some good but some not so good too.
The pros are the price is reasonable and no special installations is requires. I can use my RV propane tanks, so the only extras I had to buy was a regulator and connector hose. It puts out pretty good heat, and my CO detector doesn't go off. I use it in my 24 x 30 shop. The cons are it has an odor that gets pretty strong after an hour or more. Additionally, if I don't open a window or crack a door, within 2 hours it depletes the oxygen in the room to the point it shuts down. The oxygen gets so low my propane torch won't fire up. The ventilation it requires to stay running lets a lot of cold air in, offsetting the heat it produces.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is just what we needed. We are in a remote area of Maine where we tend to get power failures in winter. This unit works great and doesn't depend on electricity to keep us warm. Mr Heater BlueFlame isour favorite.
We heat both houses with only ventless blue flame products, 10k, 20k and 30k units. This 30k propane unit is the best we've come across. Very clean burning and as attractive a casing as they come, and a thermostat that works . Our 30k mock "cast iron stove' unit is very attractive but not as efficient. works great ! if mounting to wall it will need a spacer for fan clearance I asked manufacturer they just said any amount of clearance would be good low volume fan I just mounted it to 2x4 "2x4 behind fan for reference"

I've had one of the same model of this heater for four years to heat my shop, and it has been flawless and golden. I've never had to repair it. In storing it through the summer, I clean it, and place it in a plastic bag to keep any insects away from the interior. I've purchased the new one as a backup/supplement to the central air conditioner on my house, and it's also doing great As a supplementary heater, it uses a 20 lb tank of propane in three to four days with a #2 thermostat setting. good heater
I bought this for a small drafty cabin I rent. hook up was easy once I ran the steel pipe from the back porch under the cabin to where I put the heater. Installed a Mr. Heater regulator on the tank end of the pipe, a Mr. Heater shut off valve and flex pipe at the heater end.I also bought and installed the optional fan for it however the it dosent turn on when you set it to auto. But constant on is ok. The temp settings seem to work fine on the heater itself though, when I put the control knob on 1, 2, 3, or 4 it shuts down and fires back up when the temp gets to those levels, I don't know what those temps actually are but on setting 5 it runs contignously.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Mr. Heater 30,000 but Propane Heater
This is the best thing I have purchased. It is Awesome, the pilot light is so easy to start. The most wonderful about it is the built-in thermostat. I turns the flame on and off.
