Well-built, compact unit. It does what it is supposed to do: Regulate the light levels for 4 structures. While you could likely put together an assembly of parts to do the same job a little cheaper; it is very convenient, expandable and user friendly. The only two real criticisms would be the length of the wire on the 2 supplied lights (2 feet) and that the hook-up wires used are very small. If you are looking to add lights to structures with the minimum of fuss and under table work; this is probably for you. Remember to buy 2 extra light assemblies so that you can use all 4 controls.

In the past all lights had to be individually wire to transformers. Just plug allows for easier connections and is LED. Not sure what gauge these wires are but do come stripped a little. Additional stripping is difficult because smallest gauge I have ever seen. But lights will last a lot longer so worth it. Very impressed with the brightness which can be dimmed

I've replaced all my Department 56 light cords and incandescent bulbs with LED lights using the Just Plug system - more than 50 buildings. LEDs infinitely more efficient than incandescent bulbs, last longer, don't get hot, and we no longer have to see huge light cords stranded behind buildings as the LED lights are attached to thin strands of wire that are easy to hide. I've read some reviews where people say you can buy the LED lights cheap and wire your own, but for those of us who aren't into science projects, the convenience of the Woodland product is great. I look for sales/coupons I can use and have also purchased some 3rd party lights available on ebay at a lower cost that fit the Just Plug system.

The woodland scenics lighting system is great.! Products are easy to use. It makes lighting your building a breeze. The switch works well. There is nothing to be said about Woodland Scenics that has not been said before. you can't beat this product for lighting up your train set, and so easy to do.I would like say that they should be made a little better because after a little while the Light Hubs malfunction I'm talking about the way the dimmer controls are they are in my book made to cheap, they often fail after a short time and it gets a little pricy to have to keep replacing them.
