These things are just awesome. Seemingly identical to the old Radio Shack version, they perform the same way. They look clunky with the binding posts, but that feature allows them to be used with just a knife to strip insulation off the wires that you want to power. Had a cigarette lighter splitter fail a few days ago, its plug having become unsoldered internally. Since it was a poor connection anyway, I decided to replace it with one of these, and the difference is night and day. This is much easier to insert and remove, something I have to do each time I stop in order to power down the GPS, a dashcam, and a USB charger all plugged into that splitter. These things are just great - I have them for all sorts of things, ham radio and CB transceivers, computers, etc. This is the cigarette lighter ultimate solution power plug.Read full review

No soldering! Can be used in more than one application by simply disconnecting from banana plugs which are sold separately. Solid build and 10amp fuse. Will keep this in my radio box for experimenting. Love it!

I bought these for my RV to be able to just hook wires directly to them without crimpers. The nice thing is that they will handle number 10 wire easily. Just trim the ends off ,slide them in and tighten the nuts by hand. These things are a little pricey but they're very sturdy. Most of the cigarette adapters you fine have small wire already attached.
