HUGE disappointment!
Received my 'new' 'Samsung' battery today. As soon as I took it out of the package, I noticed a ding in it and several other areas where the exterior was not smooth. I compared it to my 2 year old battery that came with my phone, and that battery was spotless, not a blemish on it. I thought immediately, "Is this a second, or really a Samsung?" Well, now I know! I put the battery in my phone, plugged it in and charged it to 100%. I removed it at about 7 p.m. PST. It is now 3:18, and even though I have not used my phone once tonight (no calls, no texts, no data), the phone just shut itself off because the battery is DEAD after only 8 hrs. I'm replacing the original battery in my cell phone as it has gotten old and no longer holds the charge for very long. The old battery also becomes really hot when the charge is low or if the cell phone (Samsung Galaxy Avant) is used for a long period of time. I received the new battery which is exactly the same as the old battery and immediately installed/charged it. I noticed it too becomes hot when the charge gets low or the phone is used for long periods of time. It doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long without needed to be charged. Good replacement for the Avant.
