  • Motorola MG7550

Very easy to set up. Short phone call to Comcast, actually handled over their chat line, on registering the modem. Modem worked right off but registering will help make sure you are getting the speed for specific tier of service. My upgrade from a DOCSIS 2.0 modem increased my speed to above my expected tier speed level. Old modem would constantly drop Wi-Fi signal, the MG7550 has consistently remained active and range has been outstanding.

  • Works with Spectrum

MG7550 works well with Spectrum ISP. Setup took about 30 minutes. Typically may have to change the MAC Address for your Internet Provider to connect to the MG7550. It is not an Universal Plug N Play device. It is Dual Band as 5GHz performs better than 2.4GHz. Found in the Motorola Home URL that setting the Bandwidth to 40MHz works better than 20MHz or 80MHz. Signal Range is okay in a small home. Believe the range limit to be 40 feet. When changing the SSID Name and Password the MG7550 will reset when saved and will Disconnect you from Internet and you will need to Log in with new SSID name and Password that was just saved. You will need to log into your ISP account as part of the Setup.

  • Save yourself a monthly rental fee with your internet provider!

I am finally saving approximately $8 to $10 per month by no longer renting a modem from my internet provider (Spectrum/Time Warner). I should have done this YEARS AGO! I would have saved hundreds of dollars by now. It was super easy to set up, it looks nice, and my speed went from 5 to 10 Mbps to 30 to 40 Mbps. The modem that Spectrum/Time Warner was renting to me was HORRIBLE! It was because of the constant lag and inability to connect several phones/laptops/smart tv's at the same time without errors that made me finally make the decision to look into buying my own. This Motorola MG7550 was a great buy! Glad I stumbled onto it. You won't go wrong!

  • Pay a little more for a little more. This unit delivers as claimed.

Works exactly like it should. Nice surprise. It fully covers my 3000 square foot home that previously had several wifi coverage gaps. I was getting none to two bars with the old unit. Now I get full bars throughout and streaming is great. It was super easy to set up. Plug it in and reconnect it to devices with password. It earns its high rating. I recommend it.

  • My Experience With Motorola's MG7550 Modem/Router

What can I say? It's the Number 1 rated modem/router on the market. I got an excellent buy on it new from eBay. Setting it up was the easiest process you can imagine. I have Xfinity internet service. As soon as it was connected and powered on, an Xfinity page automatically opened on my monitor and ask for minimal information. Within almost seconds rather than minutes, it was activated and working. I can't say it's actually better than my previous modem which was excellent. I purchased it because Xfinity Tech Support advised me that there equipment showed some electronic breakdown within my existing modem. I actually cannot tell any difference in connection speeds, etc. I just accepted what they were telling me was factual, and if I needed a new modem, why not buy the #1 rated. I trust it will last for many years.

  • Simply awsome

I have been SO tired of dealing with a modem AND router. Seen this on eBay and did a lot of research on this product. It is simply awsome, not only because of the extreme dependability of Motorola, but this unit has streamlined settings for even a novice to use and has a very small footprint. Add indicators are easy to see and understand. I'll never go back to a 2 piece system when everything you need is in a very well made package, and not just simply works.....but works fantastic.

  • BIG Improvement

I was having issues with my older modem/router from Spectrum (about 4 years old). Lost wi-fi connection to laptop, Firestick, etc. pretty regularly. Plus, I was paying Spectrum a monthly fee for their unit. This new Motorola modem/router has resolved all the issues I was having. It was very easy to setup and works perfectly. Plus...no more monthly fees to Spectrum!

  • Motorola MG7550 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem +AC1900 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router

  • It's a home run!!!!!

Used another router for years , but was always dropping the connection and TWC would push data and negate the security integraty of the router and I would have to reset everything from scratch. Found that they don't have a problem with the NG7550, got it, gave them the MAC ID and as my granddaughter says. "Easy Peezy, Grandpa" Very satisfied that the tech. will last for sometime.

  • Powerful, Simple and Easy SetUp

A great modem for my Internet centric household. We are able to easily connect and run 2 Smart TV's, 2 phones, 2 tablets and 1 gaming computer with little disruption. The Wi-Fi is the best I've experienced, especially the 5.0 GHz signal, which reaches the farthest than any other 5.0 GHz wireless router. This helps ease our devices from all the traffic on the 2.4 GHz frequencies.
