A fusion of blues, gospel, and r and b that is sung by a man who has been doing this since the 60s. I wish I'd found out about this guy before he died last October. Vocals are low, growly and totally mesmerizing. Two best tracks are "You want it darker?" track 3, ,The devil and the angel. At least I think that's what it's called. His songs have been featured on 2 different shows lately, "Hand of God" on Amazon tv, and the title track on "True Detective Story".
